Privacy policy

This policy tells you what information the christmaslight.app website and the Australia Christmas Lights app keep, and why. The Useful Apps Pty Ltd runs both.

What we keep

• Account: your email address, your name, and a protected copy of your password. Your name shows next to your ratings.
• Displays you add: the address, dates, times, description and photos. These are public.
• Ratings, comments and reports that you send.
• A random device ID: it lets you rate and mark visits without an account. It does not identify you.
• Visits: the displays that you mark as visited, with the date.

Your location

The app and the website use your location to show displays near you and to mark visits. Your location stays on your device. We do not keep a history of where you go.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your information.
• We do not show ads, and we do not use advertising trackers.

Where it is kept

We keep the information on servers that we manage. Photos are kept with Cloudflare. Sign-in emails go through Amazon Web Services.

Your choices

You can ask us to show, correct or delete your information, or to delete your account. Email [email protected]. We reply within 30 days.
